About Sri Lanka
Climb Sigiriya, the 5th-century rock fortress, visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, ride the blue train through the tea country of Nuwara Eliya and Ella, look for elephants and leopards on a jeep safari, and finish on the beaches of Bentota and the ramparts of Galle Fort. Ramayana trail sites such as Seetha Amman Temple make it a favourite with families. A short flight from Mumbai, easy for vegetarians and very good value.
